Here's Donny's top ten highlights for the week...
On Monday it's the opening night of the very first show by the young people of the Theatre Gang at Doncaster Little Theatre. The variety show is also playing on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Curtain up at seven each night.
Tuesday of course is a full Market Day on Doncaster's award winning Markets with over 400 stalls, the majority of them indoors - including over 70 food traders in the dedicated Food Hall, Fish and Fruit & Veg Markets. There are Full Market Days on Friday and Saturday as well and not forgetting the giant Antique & Second Hand Market every Wednesday and this Wednesday our small but perfectly formed Farmers Market on Goose Hill...
The extraordinary Translunar Paradise is the latest show to grace the stage at our new performance venue Cast. The full programme of offerings fantastic and fun can be picked up from the venue itself or from the TIC on High Street.
By Wednesday we could all do with a laugh and the regular Comedy Club Night at the Cask Corner Dive Bar on Cleveland Street hosted by Sully O'Sullivan should meet that need.
Wednesday is also the first day of a new exhibition of paintings by artist Louis Patey at the Mac Gallery - with the evening 'opening' of the show following on Friday from 6pm.
Thursday night is jazz night in Doncaster with the excellent Djangonauts live in concert at the Conservative Club on South Parade from 8.30pm. Nice...
Lovers of contemporary movies will like the Friday afternoon screening of Hitchcock at Doncaster Little Theatre just off East Laith Gate. This venue has a varied programme of live drama and film - pick up a copy from the theatre or from the TIC.

Friday is all about toilets with the story of local lad Thomas Crapper who revolutionised the flushing loo on the stage at Cast in a play called Royal Flush. Show starts at 7.45pm.
Saturday sees that Doncaster institution Tags Model Shop on Nether Hall Road reopen. Its original owner (who sold the business to the now defunct chain Model Zone a few years ago) has returned from retirement to save the business he built up for the benefit of another generation of Donny model makers.
Has two performances of a fun kids' show Who's Been Sitting in My Chair? at 12.30 and 3.00pm on Sunday at Cast on Waterdale.
